Passions often tell much more than simple hobbies. They are windows onto personal worlds, unique ways of expressing oneself and living. In this story, we explore the lives of Cinzia, Mirco, and Elisa, the three owners of the Locanda, each with a passion that defines their free time: ceramics, sailing, and photography. These interests not only enrich their days, but also forge profound connections with creativity, nature, and discovery.

Ceramics as Art and Meditation

For Cinzia, ceramics isn't just a pastime, but a true language. Each piece is born from a mixture of clay, water, and patience, transforming into unique forms under her hands. Working with ceramics requires concentration and calm, qualities that are also reflected in her daily life.

The work begins with preparing the clay, which must be free of air bubbles to avoid cracking during firing. Every curve, every detail is the result of a precise and repeated gesture.

After modeling, the pieces are left to dry slowly, then fired in a kiln at temperatures exceeding 1000 degrees Celsius. The final stage is decoration, which can be simple or elaborate, with colored glazes or engravings.

Ceramics helps develop patience and manual dexterity, but above all, it offers a sense of accomplishment. Seeing an object born from nothing take shape and become useful or decorative is a satisfaction that few other hobbies can provide.

Sailing as Freedom and Adventure

Mirco finds his passion in the sea, sailing his sailboat. Sailing is an activity that combines technique, nature, and a sense of adventure. Every outing is different, influenced by the wind, currents, and weather.

Sailing means listening to the wind, interpreting the waves, and making quick decisions. The boat becomes an extension of the body, and the sea a changing companion. This passion teaches us to respect nature and live in the present moment.

Boat trips often turn into small adventures: discovering hidden coves, meeting other enthusiasts, or simply enjoying the silence away from land. Sailing is also a way to unwind and recharge your mind and body.

Photography as a Journey and a Story

Her third passion is photography, a way to capture and share emotions and places. Elisa travels whenever possible, her camera always ready to capture unique moments.

Photography allows you to capture moments that would otherwise vanish. Each shot tells a story: a face, a landscape, an architectural detail. A passion for photography pushes you to explore new places and observe with new eyes.

In addition to an artistic eye, photography requires technical knowledge: light management, composition, and focus. The combination of technique and creativity makes each image a personal work.

A World of Intertwined Passions

These three passions, though different, share a fundamental element: the ability to transform free time into a meaningful experience. Ceramics teaches patience and care, sailing offers freedom and adventure, and photography opens windows onto the world and memory.

Each of us has found in our own interests a way to express ourselves and enrich our lives. Passions aren't just activities to be pursued, but tools for better understanding ourselves and the world around us.

We bring all our interests to our large home and are happy to open our doors to those who come from far away, sharing what we love and trying to give each guest small special moments that make their holiday truly unforgettable.
